چکیده

In their Review (article number 2001952), Ling Chen, Peng-Yan Fu, Mei Pan and co-workers give a summary introduction of ESIPT (excited state intramolecular proton transfer) materials in the solid including small organic molecules, metal-organic frameworks covalent-organic frameworks. The four-leveled energy cycle based keto-enol emissions these respond to temperature, pressure, solvent, ions, light so on, can be applied widely optical sensing fields.

Excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) in dihydroxyphenyl anthracenes.

The photochemistry of three 9-(dihydroxyphenyl)anthracenes 6-8 was studied in neat CH(3)CN and selected organic solvents, to investigate excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) from the phenol to the anthracene moiety. In D(2)O-CH(3)CN mixtures, the observed deuterium exchange of 6-8 is consistent with water-mediated (formal) ESIPT process from the ortho phenolic OH to the 10'-posi...

Exploring the Ultrafast Excited-State Intramolecular Proton Transfer (ESIPT) of β-Diketones in the deep-UV

The photodynamics in symmetric and unsymmetric β-diketones are studied with transient absorption in the deep-UV. Excitation leads to ultrafast ESIPT while further relaxation and isomerization processes depend on the molecular symmetry and solvent environment. The development of aryl-substituted 2-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridines (PIP) with various colors of excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) luminescence in the solid state

A series of solid-state luminescent dyes based on 2-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (PIP) displaying a wide range of emitting colors from blue to red have been developed. Whereas 20-methoxy PIP (20MeOPIP, 10) shows blue luminescence, 20-hydroxy PIP (HPIP, 1) exhibits emission with large Stokes shift at around 500 nm that is known as the excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) luminesc...

Optical sensing and analyte manipulation in solid-state nanopores.

The field of nanopore sensing has been gaining increasing attention. Much progress has been made towards biotechnological applications that involve electrical measurements of temporal changes in the ionic current flowing through the pore. But in many cases the electrical signal is restricted by the non-ideal noise components, limited throughput, and insufficient temporal or spatial resolutions....

Solvent-dependent excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) pathways from phenol to carbon in 2,5-dihydroxyphenyl arenes.

The ESIPT of three 2,5-dihydroxyphenyl-substituted arenes 9-11 was studied in various solvent systems, to investigate the direction of the proton transfer from the phenol to the respective carbons of naphthyl, phenanthrenyl and anthryl aromatic rings. In neat CH3CN, 9-11 undergo direct ESIPT from the phenolic OH to the ipso-position of the corresponding aromatic carbon acceptors, via an intramo...
